PRAISE THE LORD!

Blue Blood opened a flagship store in Cape Town earlier this year and I think it’s only right that we mention this. For those of you unaware, Blue Blood is a Dutch luxury denim and fashion house. Originally Blue Blood was only available the Loading Bay in Cape Town, but now Blue Blood have opened their stand alone store in Cape Town, right near HQ Restaurant and next to Brewers & Union.

It’s easy to buy a pair of jeans these days, but it’s not easy to buy quality crafted jeans that are unique. Think raw denim, selvedge and then you’re on the right track to what Blue Blood’s denim is all about. It’s about passion and authenticity, something you can only appreciate when you see the clothing and denim in real life.

The Blue Blood denim store in Cape Town is only the 5th Blue Blood store to open in the world, and we’re lucky to have it in Cape Town. The inspiration for the interior of the store came from the Amsterdam based “Love For Denim” store in the Prinsenstraat and is located in an old Dutch Reformed Church in Bree Street. The nickname of the store in Bree Street is BS104, and this theme runs across all the Blue Blood stores, being named after the street in which they are found.

I actually found a great piece over at Man Of The Cloth , and that goes on to explain a little more about Blue Blood and the Cape Town store. Do have a look.

For our previous piece on Blue Blood denim jeans have a look here.

And also here for G-Star raw denim jeans.

(The “SLXS Cape Town — Approved Places” is a map I decided to create, today, to allow you to easily find places that we mention in Cape Town. It originally started as an idea for me to list all the restaurants in Cape Town as well as nightclubs and fashion shops, but I decided against that. As you know I only like to recommend places that I approve and use, and there are already enough Cape Town listing places around. But I don’t want to list places I haven’t personally approved. So consider the SLXS Cape Town Google Map an approved listing of places worth seeing.)
