2-inch phallus shaped mushroom named after scientist?

I spotted this article on Simply Green, interesting.

I’m just not sure if having a 2-inch shlong shaped mushroom after you is actually a complement? That’s just weird. I wouldn’t claim it. But you know scientists, get excited about any old rubbish.
