0 Comments Keep your head warm this winter

Article written by the awesome Sean Lloyd on the 29 Apr 2009

Because I’m above average in the stupid department, my brain runs at very slow speeds. All my brain is wired to do is chill, go to clubs, laugh, watch Top Gear, eat, sleep, drink and admire women. When it comes to “work” my brain’s operating system seems to have a virus, probably like a trojan horse or something. Because my brain runs at such slow speeds, it never really warms up. Some might call this a problem. Well I’ve found the solution!

If you’re a idiot (Like me) your brain and head will generally not generate enough of their own heat. You won’t exactly suffer from brain freeze because you don’t have the required equipment (Like me), but your ears and stuff might get cold.

So you need a beanie of sorts! The surf stores are selling quite sick ones, and I bought two.

One in black and one in white so I’m politically correct and that way score some sweeeeet tax deductions.

They are beanies (Why do I hate that word so much?) with a slight little peak, giving them a certain radness. So you can wear them with the peak at the front, or at the back, as shown below, by me. Do ignore the ridiculous faces, but I was just informed before this that I won R35 in the lottery. MENTAL!

Notice the stubble? Three weeks growth baby YEAH! Woooo hoooo! (Mmmmm terrible T-Zone shine there…Garcon bring my powder! No…not my nose powder…)

The black one is from Billabong and I think it was R130. It’s not that good though and it’s the first one I bought. Which is why I had to buy another one. The Billabong is cheaper, but it’s also acrylic which is shit and it made my head itchy (It’s not the herpes, it’s in remission, remember?). So don’t buy that one, or any acrylic ones.

The white one however is 100% cotton and it’s super comfortable. The fit is less tight than the Billabong (They’re all one size), and the cotton is way more comfortable. The white one is from Von Zipper and costs R199.

So go grab a couple, they’re awesome.

I bought my Von Zipper one from Billabong in Cavendish Square. All surf shops should stock them. ONLY buy the 100% cotton ones.

The acrylic is for the poor people and let’s people know you are a pleb.
