I’m sometimes hesitant to write these sorts of things because I seem to be getting called gay quite a lot these days. Not that I have anything against gay people, if I did, I would have NEVER made it through my matric year. God, it was like The Birdcage! Hilarious. Everytime I decline an alcoholic drink someone calls me gay. Then I get a drink but it’s “a chicks drink” and I’m called gay.
On a side note here, if a gay man orders a beer, is he called straight? Interesting.
But to be really honest, you can call me gay when I order a Brutal Fruit at the bar, and I’ll STILL take your girlfriend home and bang her like the prom queen.
Sorry…issues for my therapist.
So onto the Garden Route Organic Skincare range, which I’ve been using for quite some time now because it’s so damn good! At the moment we’re (Being you and me) using the Tea Tree and Lavender Cleanser, the Kigelia, Lemon and Witch Hazel Toner and the Baobab and Rose Geranium moisturiser.
Crikey that’s a mouthful!
I’ll show you a mouthful young lady!
And what can I say…the products are brilliant!

All Garden Route Organic products are free from harmful preservatives, synthetic fragrances and colourants, as well as free from petrochemicals. Garden Route Organic is a local brand, so you reduce the mileage it has to travel to get to you, greatly reducing the carbon footprint compared to imported brands. And Garden Route Organic is as good, if not better in my opinion, than the imported brands. The pricing is extremely competitive, considering you’re getting a product packed full of real ingredients, not extracts of ingredients mixed in with a whole lot of cheap fillers.
If I’m correct, 60% of what we put on our skin is absorbed into our body. Look at your regular skincare products. Look at all the crazy chemicals. Do you want those inside you? Probably not. Do they have an effect on your health over the years? Evidence is sketchy, but if you look at the sheer amount of bizarre diseases in the world, I think they can be seen to play a large part in disease over prolonged exposure.
So Garden Route Organic not only produce a local product that is completely safe for you, but it’s also beneficial to the environment because it’s made pretty close to home and won’t wash any chemicals into our drains and into the environment. This also keeps money in our economy, instead of funding major brands overseas. Buying these organic products is basically like giving our economy a boost, sweet!
I don’t really have problem skin so I can’t say if my skin is clearer, because it’s just normal, but the products are great to use, smell fantastic and do the job very well. My skin isn’t dry, isn’t oily, it’s just all good!
So there we have it, another great range of products to keep your skin in shape this winter, and throughout the year.
Garden Route Organic also manufacture shampoo, conditioner and a body wash. Their product packaging is also completely recyclable.
